On our trip to Italy we had only been in the country for a few hours when we found ourselves in a small street cafe in a dark alley in Pisa. All around us locals were enjoying coffee and snacks in the shadow of the buildings, having a casual chat before heading to work.

We sat there mesmerized by the scene around us and I recorded a short audio piece that captures much of the atmosphere of the place - the conversations, scooters and bikes going by, the waitress clearing off tables... it was a great way to start our time in Italy!
