2012: Career by Raye41 in Work
I have taught at Southern Maine Community College since August 2007. I used to drive an hour all the way from Bath to South Portland to teach, but now that the new campus at the former Brunswick Naval Air Station is up and running, I have a very short commute. Less than 15 minutes - with plenty of time to stop at Starbucks for a decaf caramel macchiato.

I love to teach Introduction to Literature because stories are the building blocks of what we believe and the choices we make and the dreams to which we aspire. And some people spend their lives telling them. Some of these are so good and feel so true and capture our imaginations so much that we call them "literature."

A Bangor Daily News story called "Everybody's heard about the (Maine) words," by Emily Burnham talks abut some of the language that makes Maine unique. WHat is it about language that makes a place unique? Can you add to this list?
